Your Role:
As the Events Team Coordinator, you will play a key role in planning and executing events that raise awareness and support for our mission. You will work collaboratively with a team of volunteers and community members to create meaningful and memorable experiences for attendees.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan, organize, and coordinate events, including fundraisers, adoption drives, and outreach programs.

Lead and motivate a team of volunteers to ensure smooth event operations.

Oversee logistics, including venue selection, vendor coordination, budgeting, and obtaining necessary permits or licenses.

Develop creative event themes and concepts to engage attendees and achieve organizational goals.

Promote events through social media, community outreach, and partnerships to maximize attendance and support.

Maintain detailed records of event milestones, tasks, and deliverables.

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance event planning and execution.
Qualifications:
Experience
-
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in event coordination, volunteer management, or a related field.

Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, especially in a non-profit or community-focused setting.

Track record of successful event planning and execution, including logistics, scheduling, and resource allocation.

Experience with budgeting, vendor coordination, and promotional strategies is desirable.

Familiarity with non-profit operations and community engagement initiatives is an advantage.
Skills

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.

Excellent communication and time management skills.

Proficiency in Google Workspace and other collaboration tools.

Passion for community engagement and a commitment to the mission and values of PAWS.
Location
Applicants must reside in one of the following areas of southwest Ontario: London, Middlesex, Waterloo Region, Brant County, or Hamilton.
