Progressive Animal Welfare Services (PAWS) is dedicated to promoting responsible pet care practices and improving the well-being of pets and their families. Through education and community outreach, we aim to create a brighter future for animals while fostering a strong sense of community.
Your Role:
Working collaboratively with a team of volunteers and community members, the Events Team Coordinator will play a key role in creating a meaningful and memorable experience for attendees while being an ambassador for PAWS and its mission. This opportunity would require the ability to attend in person events in one of the following areas of Southwestern Ontario: London, Middlesex, Waterloo Region, Brant County, or Hamilton.
Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and help run events, including fundraisers, adoption drives, and outreach programs.

Assist with logistics, including venue selection, vendor coordination, budgeting, and obtaining necessary permits or licenses.

Develop creative event themes and concepts to engage attendees and achieve organizational goals.

Promote events through social media, community outreach, and partnerships to maximize attendance and support.

Maintain detailed records of event milestones, tasks, and deliverables.

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance event planning and execution.
Qualifications:
Experience
-
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in event coordination, volunteer management, or a related field is an asset.

Track record of successful event planning and execution, including logistics, scheduling, and resource allocation is an asset..

Experience with budgeting, vendor coordination, and promotional strategies is desirable.

Familiarity with non-profit operations and community engagement initiatives is an advantage.
Skills
-
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.

Excellent communication and time management skills.

Proficiency in Google Workspace and other collaboration tools.

Passion for community engagement and a commitment to the mission and values of PAWS.
Location
Applicants must reside in one of the following areas of southwest Ontario: London, Middlesex, Waterloo Region, Brant County, or Hamilton.
