About Us

Progressive Animal Welfare Services (PAWS) is dedicated to promoting responsible pet care practices and improving the well-being of pets and their families. Through education and community outreach, we aim to create a brighter future for animals while fostering a strong sense of community.

Your Role:

As the Events Team Coordinator, you will play a key role in planning and executing events that raise awareness and support for our mission. You will work collaboratively with a team of volunteers and community members to create meaningful and memorable experiences for attendees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and coordinate events, including fundraisers, adoption drives, and outreach programs.

  • Lead and motivate a team of volunteers to ensure smooth event operations.

  • Oversee logistics, including venue selection, vendor coordination, budgeting, and obtaining necessary permits or licenses.

  • Develop creative event themes and concepts to engage attendees and achieve organizational goals.

  • Promote events through social media, community outreach, and partnerships to maximize attendance and support.

  • Maintain detailed records of event milestones, tasks, and deliverables.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance event planning and execution.

Qualifications:

Experience

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in event coordination, volunteer management, or a related field.

  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, especially in a non-profit or community-focused setting.

  • Track record of successful event planning and execution, including logistics, scheduling, and resource allocation.

  • Experience with budgeting, vendor coordination, and promotional strategies is desirable.

  • Familiarity with non-profit operations and community engagement initiatives is an advantage.

Skills

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.

  • Excellent communication and time management skills.

  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and other collaboration tools.

  • Passion for community engagement and a commitment to the mission and values of PAWS.

Location

Applicants must reside in one of the following areas of southwest Ontario: London, Middlesex, Waterloo Region, Brant County, or Hamilton.
