WE'RE LOOKING FOR GREAT PEOPLE WHO LOVE FILM!

Sign up to be an essential part of the festival and contribute to Southwestern Ontario’s film community! 

The festival runs in-person from October 24th to Nov. 2nd, 2025 in downtown London. Volunteer applications will be open until October 17th. Mandatory volunteer training is on October 18th, 2025 from 10 am to 12 pm (session 1), 12 pm to 2 pm (session 2). Volunteers must attend one session.

Our Crew members will be in various roles ranging from ushers, sales (concession, bar - Smart Serve certification required), distributing programs, set-up and clean-up, greeters, and more!

The commitment is a minimum of 2 four-hour shifts over the festival week and a mandatory orientation session. In return, you get a Festival T-Shirt, a free voucher for a screening during the festival, and our undying gratitude!

A majority of the Festival’s programs will be at Wolf Performance Hall (across from Central Library Branch in Citi Plaza - 251 Dundas St, London, ON N6A 6H9. There are additional special programs on select dates during the festival at:

  • Imagine Cinemas (inside Citi Plaza at 355 Wellington St., London, ON N6A 3N7),

  • Goodwill Industries (Horton Street location)

This volunteer opportunity is best suited for people 16 years and older. Crew members will be standing/on their feet for part of the shift, light lifting (30 lbs. or less), and communicating with patrons of the festivals in various languages including English and French. Light cleaning duties such as sweeping and wiping down high-touch surfaces will be required however protective gear will be provided (such as gloves, masks, if desired).

Students in high school 16 years of age and older can earn volunteer hours. Some positions are restricted to Crew members who are 18 years of age or older and have Smart Serve certification (serving alcoholic beverages).


Required Qualifications/Training: 
Must be able to attend one orientation session - October 18th, 2025
Smart Serve certified is an asset but not required to join our team
Skills Preferred: 
Passionate about films!
Able to follow verbal instructions in English
Personable, comfortable with casual conversations with patrons of the festival
Able to take initiative and work as part of a team
Additional Opportunity Information: 
Crew members must be able to get to and from the festival’s locations independently. Mileage and parking fees are not reimbursed. However, free one-hour parking on weekdays and two-hours free parking on weekends at Citi Plaza when the downtown Library and Imagine Cinemas is open.
