ReForest London is a non-profit organization dedicated to partnering with our community to enhance
environmental and human health in the Forest City, through the benefits of trees. ReForest London is also
leading the development of the new Westminster Ponds Centre (WPC) – a flagship centre of sustainability
leadership, excellence and education for the entire London community.
The WPC is located next to London’s largest and most significant environmental area, Westminster Ponds.
Our 14-acre site holds a rich history of built and cultural heritage. The key facilities for WPC are being
established through the restoration and repurposing of a veterans’ recuperative village built following
WWII. This includes the spectacular Wellington Pavilion, the 8000-square-foot former Community Centre,
which will be the centrepiece of the WPC campus. We are also looking to a future as a demonstration of
sustainability excellence, starting with the deployment of ground source heating for our buildings.
Who we are looking for?
We are looking for volunteers to join the Marketing & Outreach Committee, which provides overall
oversight and guides marketing and advancement strategies. To create a robust committee, we are
looking for members with a diverse range of communications and advancement expertise including:
● Marketing
● Public relations
● Communications
● Fundraising
● Major and Legacy gifts
● Capital campaign experience
What you bring:
You are passionate about creating a greener and more sustainable future. You know great community
impact relies on great organizational foundations and tackling new opportunities. You are looking for an
opportunity to roll up your sleeves and exercise your expertise or to learn and make a difference.
The committee consists of two Board Directors and 2-4 committee members, and reports to the Board of
Directors. Most committee meetings will be held monthly on the third Wednesday of the month for
approximately 2 hours.
