Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assist the Marketing Coordinator in implementing of marketing, branding and advertising plans.
  • Support the promotion of S.W.I.M.'s brand through social media channels and interpersonal communication. 
  • Follow up with volunteer duties, ensuring tasks accurately and in a timely fashion. 
  • Assist in building team capacity by assisting/helping new volunteers. 
  • Communicate with vendors, sponsors and participants to ensure smooth event operations and address concerns or inquiries.
  • Assist in creating event promotional materials, including social media posts, flyers, and email newsletters. 
  • Attend events to provide on-site support, oversee event activities, and address any issues that may arise.
  • Maintain accurate records of event attendance, feedback, and expenses for post event evaluation. 
  • Assist in evaluating event success and identifying areas for improvement to enhance future events. 
  • Ability to write professional letters to community donors, sponsors, and sources of support for events. 
Qualificaitons

  • Proven experience in event planning is an asset. 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. 
  • English fluency, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and Canva is preferred. 
  • Passion for supporting single mothers and advancing our organization's mission. 
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (considered an asset).
  • Criminal Reference and Vulnerable Sector Checks.
