Position Overview:

The Elgin Middlesex Oxford Workforce Planning and Development Board is seeking a dedicated Volunteer Research Analyst to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen interest in labour market trends and workforce development to apply their skills in a meaningful way.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct research and data analysis on labour market trends, employment patterns, and workforce development.
Compile, clean, and analyze large datasets from various sources.
Assist in the preparation of visualizations to communicate findings effectively.
Collaborate with team members to identify key insights and recommendations.
Stay updated with the latest research methodologies and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
At least a post-secondary diploma in a related field or relevant experience. A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Sociology, or a related discipline is preferred.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
Proficiency in most data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SPSS, R, Python, Tableau).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Previous experience in research or data analysis is an asset.
