Job Overview

Responsible for organizing and executing events aimed at supporting and empowering single mothers in our community. Collaborating closely with the Event Coordinator, you will plan, coordinate, and oversee various events, ensuring alignment with our organization's mission and objectives

Responsibilities and Duties.

Assist in planning, organizing, and executing events aimed at supporting single mothers, including workshops, seminars, and fundraising events.
Coordinate event logistics, such as venue selection, catering, and audiovisual equipment setup.
Collaborate with the Event Coordinator to develop event timelines, budgets, and marketing strategies.
Assist in recruiting and managing event volunteers, providing necessary training and guidance.
Communicate with vendors, sponsors, and participants to ensure smooth event operations and address any concerns or inquiries.
Assist in creating promotional materials for events, including social media posts, flyers, and email newsletters.
Attend events to provide on-site support, oversee event activities, and address any issues that may arise.
Maintain accurate records of event attendance, feedback, and expenses for post-event evaluation.
Assist in evaluating event success and identifying areas for improvement to enhance future events.

Qualifications

Proven experience in event planning or organizing is an asset.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent time management and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with event management software is preferred.
Passion for supporting single mothers and advancing our organization's mission.
CPR/First Aid Certificate (considered an asset)
