We would like to have some dedicated volunteers for our HARK program. This program runs Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons from 3:30-5:30 at 3 different Family Centres in London. We specifically need volunteers for Tuesday (Family Centre- Carling Thames) and Wednesday (Family Centre Fanshawe). This program is for students in Grade 6-8. HARK stands for Healthy, Active, Resilient Kids. The students make a healthy snack, do an active game and engage in activities that promote friendship, resiliency and confidence building. The commitment required is from Sept-June and consistency with the day. (Example- If you want to volunteer on Monday, you would commit to Monday for the school year) The idea is to build trusting relationships with the group.
