Banting House NHS of Canada is a world class museum that gets visitors from around the world who come to learn the story of Sir Fredrick Banting and the discovery of insulin. Volunteers will be required to provide full guided tours in English which may take up to 45 minutes. If volunteers speak a second language, they may get opportunities to give tours in that second language. You will receive a tour guide manual and have numerous opportunities to shadow tours before having to go solo. Currently we are looking for weekend tour guides to work a minimum of one Saturday or Sunday a month from 10am to 4pm. We are also looking for volunteers to work a weekly 2 hour shift from 10 am to noon. We may have a few 2 hour afternoon shifts also available during the week. We also will be holding numerous special events which we will ask you to participate in. We do ask that our volunteers commit to a minimum of 6-8 hours a month and stay for at least 6 months.
Smart Serve is an asset for our special events.
