LONDON, Ontario (October 13, 2022) – Today Pillar Nonprofit Network is pleased to announce the appointment of Maureen Cassidy as Interim Chief Executive Officer effective October 17th, 2022.
Pillar Nonprofit Network extends our heartfelt thanks and best wishes to Tanja Kueneman, Interim Co-CEO and Co-President, and VP Finance and Strategy, who has announced her resignation from Pillar Nonprofit Network as of November 4, 2022.
With the opportunity to make a written submission to the pre-budget consultations in advance of federal Budget 2023, Pillar has endorsed the recommendations of Imagine Canada for broad measures that will increase the resilience of nonprofit organizations and our readiness to rise to historic challenges and those exacerbated by the pandemic. In keeping with our strategic priorities, we have also renewed our call to accelerate and expand anti-oppression work by funding initiatives that advance reconciliation and eliminate racism and hate.
Especially in recent years, and in alignment with principles championed in the international labour and sustainable development movements, there has been a growing call in the nonprofit and broader social impact sector to centre decent work for both our colleagues and for all workers.
