LONDON, Ontario (January 31, 2024) -- Pillar Nonprofit Network has submmitted a suite of recommendations to the provincial government that would see investment in Ontario nonprofits as ever-ready partners to government in delivering innovative solutions on public priorities in a collaborative way.
One of the things we heard loud and clear from Pillar members and the community this year -- not least through the work of Pillar's Community Advisory Panel -- was a desire to receive updates from leadership regarding the organization's operations.
London hosted the 2023 Folk Music Ontario (FMO) Conference. Almost 800 people registered for the four-day event. Making it 15% bigger than the last edition. This year also included a free three-day folk festival to include the general public.
LONDON, Ontario, October 18, 2023 -- Pillar and 28 of its member organizations have made a submission to a government committee calling for the reversal of planned cuts to Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) and a number of other improvements to the wage subsidy program that helps nonprofits deliver community benefits while supporting youth employment.
The effects of climate change are widespread, leading to long-term social, economic, and environmental impacts. For mid-sized Canadian cities, some of the major environmental impacts include food insecurity, extreme weather, and environmental pollution.
