Up-cycling wheelchairs, creating jobs & teaching life skills: our new Social Enterprise Incubator cohort has got it all!

Each quarter we invite startup social enterprises to join us for six months of integrated, supported learning at Innovation Works. Sponsored by Libro Credit Union, we provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, learning opportunities and resources to boost the impact of these social enterprises.

Social Enterprise Incubator participants receive:
- 12 months access to Innovation Works
- 12 months Pillar Nonprofit Network membership
- 3 months of weekly workshops; including business development, strategic planning and impact measurement
- 1-1 Coaching with Pillar's Social Enterprise Coach
- Support from volunteer Business Advisors
- Access to online databases of legal documents, business plan templates & other social enterprise resources
- A network of social enterprises at all stages of development

Five social enterprises have joined us from October - March 2019, each with a unique business model and positive community impact!

L’Arche London - Bonjour Cafe
In January 2018 we opened our doors, on Thursday mornings, to our Bonjour Café. Our café is run by individuals with intellectual disabilities, the first in the City of London. We provide much needed vocational training in an environment rich in connections and interactions for those most isolated and vulnerable in our city.

London Environmental Network - Green Economy London
Green Economy London will support a network of businesses to set and achieve sustainability targets. It is a self sustaining enterprise supported through membership fees and sponsorship. The Hub will bring together, empower, and celebrate businesses as they achieve their sustainability goals. As a result of implementing sustainable change, local businesses will experience benefits including decreased operation costs; decreased risk (in the face of upcoming legislation for example); increased employee engagement; improved environmental outcomes; greater retention and talent attraction; and improved public image and brand value.

The BOG Connection
The BOG Connection will be a non-profit aquaponics greenhouse facility that will farm organic fish and vegetables to benefit other established non-profit organizations such as shelters, food banks and community food programs for the relief of poverty. We will also establish, in partnership with other community resources, a job growth program within our organization to create jobs and skill development in the agri/aquacultural sectors, for people who face employment barriers.

RollUP Solutions
RollUP is a for-profit social enterprise that collects and upcycles gently-used mobility devices before selling them back to the community at a more than 75% discount. We are a student-run company that strives to remove social and physical barriers by making mobility affordable for everyone.

Rebel Rags
Creating reusable feminine hygiene and other magical things. Rebel Rags has a social mandate, we donate a pad to a local woman for every sold pad!
