Are you looking to contribute to the cultural and social life of London and area ?
Do you need to keep yourself active, offer your leadership skills, or take on the challenge of learning new things?
Consider becoming a board or committee member for the London Heritage Foundation!
On the whole, learning to participate as a board member, taking on the lead or participating on a committee offers you the chance to try new skills and talents. The role offers networking opportunities, the ability to learn from established volunteers, and the opportunity to take on responsibilities that are usually only offered to senior levels in corporations. A board role can really expand your horizons both socially and professionally.
As a charity, HLF has the unique advantage of having very well established “social enterprises” and staff that generates at least 95% of our annual income. We are engaged with our members and the public, but not reliant on them for our financial stability.
HLF is a dynamic group that manages two important cultural heritage estates in the City of London by making them accessible for use to the public. We also play a role in supporting and partnering with other organizations across Middlesex County.
You may have heard of our Heritage Awards: this year, we had an abundance of nominations and winners, all celebrated in style and in a full ballroom at the Delta Armouries. Our annual “Doors Open” event always draws a large crowd. In addition, we offer a variety of open house events for music, movies, teas and other ways to ensure Londoners continue to use our two estates.
HLF requires new Board Members ; we can use current online marketing expertise, and community social engagement. We also want to expand and rethink our membership and audience engagement in the next stage of our growth and development.
