The Canada Life Young Leader Program in partnership with Young London and Pillar Nonprofit Network, provides young people in our community with a unique leadership opportunity. The program matches up to 30 young people aged 18-29 with a nonprofit organization, where they will serve as an ex-officio (non-voting) board member for up to one year and learn more about effective nonprofit governance.

What is cultural safety? The concept emerged in New Zealand during the 1980s as a framework for responding to unequal access to health services by Indigenous Maori people. As defined by Indigenous rights leaders at the time, culturally safe practices recognize and respect the identities of others and meet their needs, rights and expectations. Culturally unsafe practices diminish, demean or disempower the cultural identity of an individual.
This event was rescheduled from an earlier date.

Every nonprofit organization or social enterprise needs a strategic plan—regardless of the type of work you do. A strategic plan helps you define who you are, what you want to achieve and the actions you need to take to get there. Having a strategic plan that’s redeveloped every three to five years is crucial to effective decision making, planning for the future and keeping the people you serve at the forefront of your work.
